Dear Colleagues,
Dear Friends,
As President of the EATB and outgoing President of BATB, I have pleasure in inviting you to the 17th Annual Congress of the European Association of Tissue Banks, to be held this year in conjunction with the 17th Annual Meeting of the British Association for Tissue Banking . This collaboration between our associations is further enhanced by the participation of the American Association of Tissue Banks in a Cardiovascular Symposium.
The meeting will be held on 12th - 14th November 2008 in Edinburgh, the beautiful capital of Scotland. The meeting will comprise plenary sessions with renowned experts on:
?Cardiovascular allografts
?Musculoskeletal Symposium
?Ethical issues
?Surveillance
?European regulation and its implementation
In addition to free presentations, and the ever popular Clinical Donor Case Workshop, we are pleased to announce a sister case workshop on Quality Systems, which will be organised by Deirdre Fehily from Italy. There will be exciting competition for the congress prizes, which will be awarded for best poster, best presentation and there will also be, for the first time, a novice prize for submissions from those who have never previously presented at an International meeting.
With all these professional attractions, plus a delightful social programme in a beautiful location, we anticipate an excellent attendance from the British, European and US colleagues.
I do hope you will all join with me and Charlie Hunt, the incoming President of BATB , together with the Board of the EATB and the Executive Committee of the BATB, to make this a successful meeting . We look forward to meeting you in Edinburgh.
