It is our great pleasure and honour to invite you to attend the 5th World Congress on Tissue Banking in Conjunction with 12th International Conference of Asia Pacific Conference of Surgical Tissue Banks to be held on 02 - 06 June 2008, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Three pre-congress workshops will be convened on 2nd June 2008, the first day of the World Congress. The workshop will cover three pertinent issues in tissue banking: Radiation Sterilization of Tissue Grafts, Tissue Donor Coordination & Procurement, Biomechanics for Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering.

The scientific programme of the congress (3rd ?5th June 2008) will consist of plenary lectures, themed symposia and free paper sessions, covering all fields of research on cell and tissue banking, clinical applications of preserved tissue allografts and tissue engineering. Distinguished scientists and clinicians are invited to give plenary lectures on current advancement and issues in tissue banking.

A scientific visit will be organized for the delegates on the last day of the congress (6th June 2008) to radiation facilities and a tissue bank at the Malaysian Nuclear Agency.

While keeping abreast of the latest development in tissue banking, the delegates would also have the opportunity to discover Malaysia, a country with diversity in cultures and traditions. Delegates could relax and enjoy the climate, architecture and scenery of this tropical country.
